General Info

Please add your team to the waitlist if the event is full.

Payments are due by 1/5/24. If your team does not pay by that deadline, you will lose your spot, and teams will be added from the waitlist. 

We are grateful to the 6K corporation for generously serving as the tournament's named sponsor. In addition, thank you to the following organizations for serving as event sponsors: United Way of West Tennessee, Jackson-Madison County School System, and JMCSS Innovation Department.

Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, times, and food information will be added closer to the tournament date.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email [email protected]. Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, updates will be made by email.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • Refunds will be given minus the $5 processing fee from the REC Foundation.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

  • No refund will be given.

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
