General Info

Welcome to VIQRC 2023-2024 Full Volume tournament! A HUGE thanks to DRI/ Nevada Roboticsfor supporting the event with refs and tech help.

In-person judging. Engineering Notebooks should be brought and turned during robot inspection and check-in.

Where: Sparks Middle School, 2275 18th Street, Sparks, NV 89431.

The event will take place in the school cafeteria. The cafeteria entrance is located in the front of the school  to the left of the main entrance.

Team Pit will be located at the back on cafeteria tables. Competition Fields will be in the front of the cafeteria.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

*Each team will be allowed 3 skills runs for both Driver Skills and Autonomous Skills.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If cancellation is required due to inclement weather, all registration funds will be refunded minus the five dollar RECF fee.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be provided. Please contact the Event partner for a refund.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: If you cannot attend please let us know by October 22 and we will refund all of your registration funds minus the five dollar RECF fee.  After this date, no refunds will be issued.

The Payment Deadline for this event is 10/30- teams not paid by that date may be moved to the waitlist to allow another team to attend

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
