Welcome to the Kettering University VEX IQ ES/MS Slapshot Tournament!
- This is an in-person event that includes Robot Skills Challenge.
- Teams are expected to pay the registration fee at the time of registration. Those not paid by October 31, 2022, will be waitlisted and not allowed to compete.
- Kettering University is located at 1700 University Ave, Flint, MI 48504.
- The Event will be held in Kettering University's Campus Center on the 5th floor. Look for signs that will direct you to parking. Enter through the front door of the Campus Center (across the street from Einstein's).

Event Cancellation:
If weather, a local emergency, or enhanced coronavirus restrictions cause us to cancel or modify the schedule for this event, we will update this event's RobotEvents.com general information page. Please check the robotevents.com General Information page before traveling to Kettering University for possible notice of a delayed event start time, cancellation, or rescheduling of the event due to inclement weather, local emergency, or enhanced coronavirus restrictions.
Notice will be posted by 5:00 AM the morning of the event (or sooner if the decision is made).
Refund and Payment Policies
Should the Kettering University VRC HS/MS Spin Up Tournament on November 12, 2022, be canceled, refunds in the amount of $60 will be issued.
Judging Format
Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
