General Info
This event qualifies the winners of the event for the California State Championship.
December 10, 2022
This tournament will be hosted in Pasadena an Elementry school. The tournament will start at 9:00 AM, and will run until about 4:00 PM on December 10, 2022.
I (Ben Lipper) will be coordinating the tournament, and Washington Elementary STEM Magnet School will be hosting.

Pit Area
All teams will be provided a table and benches. There will be power strips available for charging VEX IQ batteries. Make sure to label all of your teams’ equipment with your name and/or team number.
Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few things to pack for the event the day before the day of departure.

NOTE: A completed Participant Consent Form for all participants must be turned in during check-in. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the event and turn them in to the registration desk when checking in.

LATE Arrivals
Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner ([email protected]) if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Team Payment
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the waitlist. Refunds are not typically offered, but if you have a special case, please just let us know and we will see what we can do.

Load-out 4:15 PM - 4:30 PM
Skills matches will be available from 10:00 am - 2:00pm (Closed During Lunch). 3 attempts maximum per team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Unless there is a major catastrophe (for example, a hurricane), the tournament will take place as scheduled.
In the case of extremely bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. In case of an emergency, we will individually reach out to all teams using any contact information required. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
In the event of an emergency during the event (for example, a fire), the school emergency procedures will be followed and everyone will be safely evacuated.

There will be no judging at this tournament. We will be putting our energy into running more qualification matches and having a better tournament quality.
