General Info

The VEX IQ Competition (VIQC) Elementary Schools State Championship is comprised of teams that qualify for the tournament by participating in a regional event by February 10, 2023. Teams qualify by winning awards at a local tournament or by invitation based on the highest skills scores posted under the Maryland Region during the season.

Teams must qualify for the Maryland VIQC Middle School State Championship by competing in a qualifying event or having a top qualifying skills score in the Maryland Region at the end of the regular season.

Grade Level: Elementary

Judging Format: All In-Person Judging

Friday February 24, 2023

5:00 - 8:00pm Check-in,Registration, Inspection, and skills will be open during the set up time.

Advanced notification to participate in skills on Friday is requested in order to have the proper number of Referees.

Saturday February 25,2023

7:00 am Doors Open Registration and Inspections open (skills open as soon as possible and reopen after Drivers meeting)

8:15 Opening Ceremony & Drivers meeting

8:30-12:30 Qualifiers Rounds

12:30 -1:00 Finals Matches and awards begin

1:00 Final Awards, photo oppurtunities, pack up

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather we will attempt to modify the event to fit within this weekend.

If the event is rescheduled we will issue refunds to teams who cannot attend the alternate date minus the $5 fee that RECF charges us.

In the event of a complete cancellation we will refund teams minus the $5 fee that RECF charges us.

We are working to reserve a reschedule location for Sunday, March 26, 2022 in order to keep the event for the same weekend.

Refund Policy

In the event of bad weather we will attempt to modify the event to fit within this weekend. In the event of a complete cancellation details will be emailed to teams on how to proceed.
