General Info

We are excited to invite teams into our school again this year!  

The Patriot Rumble will be qualifying event for SC State competition.  If teams wish to be judged and in the running for Design and Excellence awards, a digital copy of their team notebook should be sent as a link to the Event Partner, Jonathan Scrivner, by January 16, 2023.  This will allow the judges more time to review the notebooks and to prepare for interviews that will take place on the day of the event.

When teams arrive at Powdersville Middle School, they will enter through the car loop gym entrance.  Only registered team members and one coach will be allowed to pit, area around the gym floor, tables will be set up and labled with team numbers.  All other people associated with the teams including parents, siblings, and other spectators must remain in the stands or hallway.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If bad weather prevents event on January 15th, then event will be rescheduled for February 5th.

 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event due to bad weather or venue COVID restrictions:

  • A full refund will be issued.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

  • No refund will be issued. 

Unpaid Teams:

  • On November 26, 2022, unpaid teams will be placed on the waitlist, unless a payment date/plan has been precoordinated via email with the EP.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

**Digital copies of the notebook accepted if submitted by January 18th.
