General Info

Welcome to the 2023 Mississippi VEX Robotics State Championship! We are excited to have you. Please check our page frequently for updates to the schedule. Please read below for the steps in getting your team setup to compete. All teams not paid in full will not be allowed to participate.

Mandatory: All participants must have a Participant Release Form on file. It is the responsibility of the Team’s Primary Contact to make sure this occurs. A link to the instructions on how to submit a Participant Release Form is found here.

Digital Notebook: A digital Engineering Notebook (or scanned copy of a written notebook) must be submitted to qualify for the Excellence Award and Design Award. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 if you want it considered for judging. The notebook is only shared with event staff, including the Event Partner, Judge Advisor, and Judges, and may include the REC Foundation RSM. Details on this process are given in the Judge Guide Addendum.

Inspection: Inspection will occur at the beinning of the tournmament. Please be prepared and ensure that your robot will pass inspection BEFORE the competition by reviewing the Inspection Checklist.

Deadlines: Please pay close attention to the timeline and check back often for any changes.

Nominations: Please consider nominating a deserving individual by completing the nomination forms below. All nominations must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 to be considered.

Interviews: All teams will be interviewed at the tournament during the morning prior to qualification matches. Please have a respresentative at your pit area at all times to make sure you don't miss the judges. If the judges come by and you are not there, they will leave a note for you as to what time they will return.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If weather, a local emergency, or enhanced coronavirus restrictions cause us to cancel or modify the scheule for this event, all teams will be notified via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event partner, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Health and Safety Policies

All events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. We will continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.

Judging Format

In Person Team Interviews
