Thank you for registering for our It's a Hoot IQ event co-sponsored by the Weis Owls.

This event is designed to welcome new teams. Our district underwent a robotics transformation last year welcoming a new program at every campus. This has fostered an expansion of curiosity and a flooding of new teams to pour in. We would love to welcome new teams and more experienced teams to come in and enjoy some good competition, collaboration, and friendships that will last a lifetime. 

Remember parents and coaches, this is about the kids. Some teams will triumph, and some teams will struggle. Remember to foster the development of grace when it comes to winning and losing. We not only expect good sportsmanship from our students, but we also expect our coaches and parents to model it for them. 

 We understand scheduling is tough, and we will always do our best to accommodate teams from outside our district. We will not be able to modify the start times of this event. Please text 409-370-9096 the day of the event if you are running late. All other communication should be through email.

Payment is due 3pm prior to the day of the event

All matches will be hosted in the Ball High Cafeteria.

Additional information regarding directions and campus maps will be added soon.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email Catherinepickavance@gisd.org. Please only reserve phone calls for emergencies the day of the event. I.E. notifying me your team is running behind or not coming.  Participants will be required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com.
