It's time to talk turkey! 

Welcome to the Sunburst Elementary VEX IQ "Slapshot" Turkey Bowl for Middle School Teams!

We are welcoming 32 teams to our school to compete. We will run a full event with both Teamwork and Skills Challenges. This will be a qualifier for the Utah State Championship!*

Please note that we will NOT be accepting digital Engineering Notebooks at this event. If you have a digital notebook, please print it ahead of time and bring it to submit to the judges. We will not be able to print notebooks at the event.

*Qualifying criteria must be met.

Concessions will be available to purchase at the event. All proceeds from the concessions will go to our VEX Robotics program to support and grow our program. Cash and card will both be accepted.

**Judging will include judging for the Excellence Award and Design Award. If you want to be eligible for these awards, the team engineering notebook will need to be turned in at inspection. This event will NOT accept Digital Notebooks. All Digital Notebooks should be printed prior to the event to be turned in to the judges.

A Message from REC:  All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding health and safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event hosts should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary, and to communicate as necessary with any registered attendees at said event.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
