The SJH VEX IQ Challenge Middle School January Tournament may be modified depending on current Utah Health Department recommendations. 

A Message from REC Foundation:  All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event hosts should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary, and to communicate as necessary with any registered attendees at said event.

2:15 pm - 4:30 pm Teamwork Challenges (at least 6 matches for each team)
4:30 pm - 4:50 pm Finals Matches (8 alliances)

* Each team will be allowed 3 skills runs for both Driver Skills and Autonomous Skills. 

** Judging will include judging for the Excellence Award and the Design Award. If you want to be eligible for judging, the team engineering notebook will need to be turned in at inspection.

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
