General Info
Welcome to the Diocese of Oakland Robotics League
We will be hosting a maximum of 24 teams in our league. The league is open to all schools in the Oakland Diocese. We will also consider teams outside of the Diocese on a case-by-case basis.
If you are not sure if you want to join the league or if you want more information, we will be hosting an Open House and Open Build Event on November 12
Details:
- Events take place in Oakland at the Saint Leo the Great Gym.
- There will be three qualifying rounds (12/10, 1/21 and 2/11) and a finals event (2/11).
- A minimum of 10 teams from each age group are required in order to give out Excellence awards both Elementary and Middle School teams.
- Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed.
- Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the competition.

Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer to help during the tournaments please contact us as soon as possible. There will be an orientation on November 12.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If there is bad weather or some other emergency, we will contact you as soon as possible if we need to cancel.

Judging Format
Once we have our volunteers lined up we will let you know if there will be remote or in-person judging. We would prefer in person judging.
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

- All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

- Remote Initial Team Interviews / In-Person Engineering Notebooks: Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, possibly before the date of the event. Engineering Notebooks will still be submitted in person the day of the event to be evaluated by judges
