The Cougar VEX IQ Tournament is open to Elementary VEX IQ teams. The event is a State Qualifying event. An organized pizza order will be available

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event will be rescheduled if canceled due to bad weather. Teams will be notified of cancellation through the e-mail address provided in RobotEvents during registration.

Refund and Payment Policies

  • Refunds will not be given to teams canceling less than a week before the competition.
  • Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event to those who cancel in due time.  
  • If teams registered and paid through robotevents, we must receive the funds from robotevents first. This sometimes takes 3-6 months.  
  • Refunds from robotevents will deduct 10%.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
