General Info

Team 7200 is hosting the Mills Matchup VEX IQ Slapshot tournament.  This event will be held at Mills Elementary School at 7200 69th St E Palmetto, FL.  The Mills Matchup is an elementary school only tournament.  Specific award winners will qualify for the State championship.  

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form (also available in Spanish).  Once per season covers all events. 

Registration fees must be paid at least 2 weeks prior to the event.  Unpaid teams may be removed from the event and waitlist teams will take their place.

Event will take place rain or shine, unless we have a weather event where the school district closes schools.

Refund and Payment Policies

Any refund requests due to extenuating circumstances will be handed on a case by case basis and made in the sole discretion of the Event Partner.  It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments prior to attending the event.  In all cases, each registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.  

Health and Safety Policies

  • Only the team members and one adult, in addition to the team coach, is allowed at the table at any time during the event.
  • Skills runs will be scheduled prior to alliance matches. 
  • Masks may be worn.

Judging Format

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Digital notebooks must be submitted no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, January 20th.
