Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00                            Doors open

8:00-9:00                    Check in, inspection, strategize with other teams, boards open for practice

8:45                            Check in deadline to be included in matches

9:15                            Coach meeting in auditorium; match schedule released

9:30-11:30                  Qualifying matches + skills

11:30-12:15                Lunch; boards open for practice

12:15-1:00                 Qualifying matches + skills

1:15                            Finals + awards

1:30                            Clean up + departure (don’t forget to pick up your Engineering Notebook!)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Be sure to check this website in the unlikely event of inclement weather.  Cancelled events will not be rescheduled.

Refund and Payment Policies

Contact us at least two week prior to the competition to discuss refunds or cancellations.  Any refund will be minus the $5 team fee.

Judging Format

 

  • In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
  • Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions OR physical copy turned in at event: Engineering notebooks submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
