General Info

DC VEX IQ teams!

DETAILS

  • This event will be held in-person
  • Internview Judging will be held in-person
  • Notebooks will be judged remove - more details will be sent closer to the event.
  • We will hold Teamwork Challenges (7 rounds this time)  this tournament along with Skills
  • There will be a practice table
  • Food will NOT be served at the venue, please make arrangement with your team to bring or order food (see food policies below)

LOCATION

  • Our tournament will be held in the Theater at DC International PCS, 1400 Main Drive NW
  • Please enter via the parking lot at 14th St and Aspen on the other side of the building (below the theater)
  • Our event will be held from 10 to 2pm (schedule below), teams should plan to arrive between 9:00-9:30 for inspection
  • Inspection will start at 9:00 am and the event should end by 2pm.

COVID

  • We will have several hand sanitizing stations
  • If you would like to be present, reach out to us for volunteering opportunities
  • Surgical masks or KN95 masks must be used. No cloth masks please
  • We will have masks on premises if you cannot provide one
  • Mask must cover the nose at all times
  • Food must be eaten only when seated and with your team. Masks must be be worn at all other times

SCHEDULE

  • Our schedule is currently being updated 
  • If a team does not show up, the timed schedule must be changed to reflect the teams present
  • The times are tentative and your team may perform earlier

Judging Format

  • Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
