Due to precautions to reduce the spread of coronavirus, outside volunteers will not be accepted at this event

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If weather, a local emergency, or enhanced coronavirus restrictions cause us to cancel or modify the scheule for this event, all teams will be notified via email.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams may cancel up until team registration closes (2/20/2022 ) and will receive a full refund 2-4 weeks after the event is completed. 

Teams may not be able to change levels once it is selected as a level may be full to capacity. If full they will be put on the waitlist and their spot will be open for another registration. Waitlist teams are NOT guaranteed a spot in the event.

Health and Safety Policies

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners will assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.

As of January 2, 2022, the Kent County Health Department no longer requires that students wear masks in public school buildings.

Judging Format

At the State of Michigan VEX IQ Championship, we will have In-Person Judging. The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Pre-Order Lunch

We are providing a lunch option that teams can preorder.

Lunch Pre-order:  Lunch includes: 2 pcs of pizza (pepperoni or cheese), Salad or choice of fruit, Snack ( cookies, chips, etc) and Drink (choice of pop, juice, water). The cost is $6 each.  

Pay at check-in with cash or check made out to GATB.  Please submit orders by Sunday, February 20.
