General Info

Welcome to the 2nd Annual San Diego VEX IQ Regional

Please note that SPACE IS LIMITED only bring the necessary team members. If you would like to bring a field for either your use or public use  please contact us at [email protected]. We ask that you DO NOT come prior to setup time unless you are volunteering to help setup the event. You are not permitted onto the premises until the start time of Team check-in unless emailed specifically to do otherwise.

If you plan on presenting STEM or the Design notebook please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

*updated* If you are participating in STEM and/or the design notebook, please make sure that you schedule your time to present to the judges. It is your responsibility to meet with the judges to present your materials. As is your responsibility to do skills, and anyother events that you wish for your team to participate in.

Any inappropriate behavior at the venue will NOT be tolerated. You may be asked to vacate the premises and NOT recieve a refund if you do not listen to the onsite staff. Any damages/fees that you/or a member of your team causes will be billed to your team. We do NOT provide food. Please pack nourishment for your teams.

Cancellations

Refunds will be decided on a case by case basis and are at the discretion of the event holder.

Please submit cancellation of attendance at least 3 weeks prior to the event in order for it to be put under review.

If you would like to cancel or remove your participation from the event please submit a request to [email protected] and provide an explanation for your cancellation. Cancellations will be reviewed upon whether your spot is filled from the waiting list.

Failure to submit payment may result in your account being charged, your team placed in a waiting list, or your team unable to participate in our event.

As event holder, we have the right to refuse a refund if ample time is not provided for the cancellation of a team's registration for an event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Event is indoors, but should weather impede ability to run the event, robollink will send emails to all participants as soon as possible.

Refund and Payment Policies

Robolink reserves the right to refuse a refund if the attendee does not provide 3 weeks notice prior to the event. In addition, refunds will not be entertained if the event registration is closed OR if the attendees’ lack of participation decreases award eligibility to run the event.

Please note if the attendee is unable to participate in the VEX IQ tournament, but provides a replacement team to occupy their slot, this may merit a refund. Please send all inquires for refunds to [email protected] with subject heading as the team name – refund, and a short description regarding your request.

Parking
Parking is free on weekends. Choose an A, B, or S parking space, but DO NOT park to P503 or in a space that has a sign that says "A - Permit Required". We're closest to P502 which you could find on maps.ucsd.edu, but the lot might not be big enough for everyone, if you couldn't find parking lot at P503, you can try Muir parking lot (P207, P208).
