Welcome to the VIQC Live Remote Tournament!

Mandatory: All participants (In-person and Remote) must have a Participant Release Form on file. It is the responsibility of the teacher/mentor to make sure this occurs. Live Remote Tournament:

The following are required - by each team - as a minimum to compete at this event:

  • A full size VEX IQ Challenge Field (6' x 8') and a full set of Pitching In field and game elements.
  • Tool for sizing (VEX IQ measuring tool, tape measure, etc.)
  • Webcam(s) connecing to PC/laptop and have a camera and laptop set up per the REC Foundation specifications for live remote events which can be foudn here: https://www.roboticseducation.org/documents/2020/10/live-remote-practice-match-system.pdf/

Inspections will take place within the Live Remote Tournament system, so make sure you log in with plenty of time!

Teams should carefully review the VIQC LRT Team Set Up and Instructions & VIQC Pitching In Game Manual for LRT specific rules.

Please note that all LRT events come with costs associated to the video services being used, however the REC Foundation have take the decision to subsidise these costs for all teams globally.

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.

Agenda

We are hosting a Live Remote Tournament. This event will run like a standard tournament with Teamwork Matches and then Finals Matches. Each team will need to be available for the duration of the event and ready to compete as per the schedule generated by the LRT system. Inspections will be held within the system, it's important that you have a mobile/moveable webcam and a measuring device allowing the inspectors to certify your robot. If you are to have any issues please contact us ASAP.

12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch

15:00 - 15:30  -  Teamwork Finals Matches

15:30  -  Award winners confirmed.
