General Info

The TN Valley Robotics VIQC 2021-2022: Pitching In Tournament @ Volkswagen Conference Center is a 24 team elementary and middle school combined tournament. In-person Robot Design Judging will be offered if it does not contradict local health mandates. If required, we will complete robot design judging remotely, via Zoom, the week of the event. Teams will be notified the first week of November if this change is required. We will plan the event as a "teams only event" with Teamwork Challenge Matches live streamed for spectators. If current health issues improve, spectators will be allowed to attend the event. Again, teams will be notified the week prior to the event if spectators will be allowed.  Chick-fil-A lunch will be available as a pre-ordered lunch item. No other concessions will be provided.

Grade Level: All

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If weather or another emergency requires this event to be postponed, every attempt will be made to reschedule. However it cannot occur the following week (Thanksgiving weekend), but would rather be moved to January, 2022.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be given as teams are limited to only paying the administrative cost of $5 to participate.

Health and Safety Policies

All measures will be taken to operate under the local health mandates as well as those of Volkswagen Chattanooga.  If masks are required in our county, or by the individual schools of participating teams, all participants will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. If the mandates are not in place we will approach masks as optional, but continue to maintain social distancing as much as possible. Approaching this tournament as a "team members only" event will help to reduce the number of contacts between participants.
