General Info
Save the date - the 2022 New Zealand VIQC National Championship for Middle School will be returning to the Palmerston North Conference & Function Centre.
Kiwibots are proud to bring this event for our rangatahi with the support of The Wright Family Foundation, CEDA, Manawatu District Council, Central Robotics, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, and Smales Farm.
This will be a 2 day event (Saturday 29 Jan, and Sunday 30 Jan 2022) with early check in/inspection available Friday afternoon.

Please hand the clearly labelled design books in during check in & inspection.
Registration Fees
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Wright Family Foundation, CEDA and Manawatu District Council, we have been able to waive the usual $150NZD fee for all travelling teams coming outside the Manawatu, and a significantly reduced entry fee of just $50NZD for Manawatu based teams.
This EVENT is for Middle School Teams only
Student - Anyone born after May 1, 2006. Eligibility may also be granted based on a disability that has delayed education by at least one year.
Students are the individuals who design, build, repair, and program the Robot with minimal adult assistance.
• Elementary School Student - Any Student born after May 1, 2009. Elementary School Students may “play up” and compete as a Middle School Student.
• Middle School Student - Any eligible Student that is not an Elementary School Student.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
We will endeavour to send registered teams an email if event is cancelled due to unforseen weather events of COVID Alert Level changes. Note this event will only go ahead at Orange or Green.
Refund Policy
Teams will get a full refund if registration is cancelled before 8 January 2022
No refunds will be given after this date

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event will only go ahead if NZ and Manawatu-Whanganui region is in Alert Level Orange or Green.
In the case of Red, the event will be assessed as to whether it can be postponed or if not, refunds will be offered.
Refund Policy
Teams will get a full refund if registration is cancelled before 3 December 2021
No refunds will be given after this date other than cancellation due to COVID Alert Level changes.
