If the event needs to be cancelled, relocated or postponed due to adverse weather conditions all teams will be contacted using the email addresses you provide.

This is a free event. As such no refund will be offered for any travel costs you incur should the event be cancelled, postponed or relocated (for whatever reason). Please do consider this carefully before booking travel and accommodation arrangements.

Health and Safety Policies

Groups are limited to 3 team members and one accompanying adult only.

Please supply Hand sanitiser and Antiseptic wipes, and masks need to be worn throughout the event, once in the hall, we ask that students and adults do not leave the venue.

Please bring pack lunches and enough refreshments for the whole day, to avoid trips out and of course please bring your own charging station and extension leads.

Safeguarding for practical work in Robotics

  • Teams of students are formed into single bubbles and are designated a Pit area in the Robotics event.
  • Students to use face coverings, masks when in the Robotics event.
  • No groups of friends or visitors in the Robotics event.
  • Social distancing in place where possible
  • Teams use one set of tools and equipment issued to them.
  • Hand sanitiser and cleaning products available to all teams. Students must clean down equipment, tools, and work areas after use.
  • Teams use designated charging stations. (their own if possible)
  • Teams to use designated computer only to code for robotics.
  • Prohibited; handshakes, high-fives or physical connect between teams
  • Teams to bring their own water and snacks with them.
  • Designate one-way traffic to and from the fields and pit areas
  • Student teams to reset the field; only a designated field re-set teams touch the game elements and cleans them before each practice/test.

 

At Competitions

  • Keep queuing areas from becoming overcrowded Social distancing is in place at least 1meter.
  • Event Meeting are directed from the stage and teams are in their pit areas devices at the start of the event to prevent gathering people in one area; also, use the Event Meeting to reiterate any event-specific health and safety protocols
  • Limit the number of volunteers to essential roles and designate volunteers to be health coordinators that monitor distance rules and ensure adequate sanitation supplies
  • Any reasonable requirement, such as a requirement for face coverings, that the EP determines is necessary to ensure the safety and health of everyone at the event, even if the requirement exceeds that of the local governing health authorities or LEA.

Parking is on a first come first servewed basis in the fron car park,

The back car park is also available but let me know if you wish to use this.
