SCORE is hosting the Elmore County VEX IQ Tournament held at Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, Al. This tournament is a combined Elementary/Middle school tournament. As this event occurs after the State Championship, this is a non-qualifying event. Awards will be given; however, award winners will not advance.
This will be a VEX IQ Rise above event. We will have a Teamwork tournament, as well as Programming & Skills challenges, and judging.
An email with detailed information will be sent the week of the event.
All attendees are expected to abide by the code of conduct.
All participants are expected to complete the participant release form. Once per season covers all events.
8:00 am - Doors open, Check-in Begins
All registered team members will be offered a complimentary breakfast of a biscuit, fruit, juice, and milk if the team is registered by April 26th.
8:30 am - 9:15 am - Inspection
9:15 am - Event Meeting
9:45 am - Skills Opens and Qualification Matches Begin
11:30-12:15 - Lunch - everything closes for lunch
12:15 pm - Skills and Qualification Matches Resume
1:15 pm - Skills Fields Close
2:15 pm - Qualification Matches end and Finals are announced
2:30 pm - Finals
3:00 pm - Awards Ceremony

In the event of extreme weather or a resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible that we will change the format of this event. Teams will be updated on this decision as the event approaches. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue following COVID-19 guidelines and stay safe. We will do everything in our power to make this event happen in person!

Face covering required
Everyone is required to wear a face-covering at the event.
Temperature check required
Temperature checks will be required before entering the competition building, anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or greater will not be admitted.
Wash hands often
Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds.
Practice social distancing and keep at least 6 feet (2 meters) between your team and others.
When present, please observe floor markings and posted signs specifying distancing and direction.
Avoid contact with people who may be sick
Days prior to traveling to our event, limit activities that may expose you to friends or family members who are sick
Use hand sanitizer when required
Each time entering the competition area, you will be required to use hand sanitizer. (provided)
Follow volunteer direction
Please follow directions from our volunteers and have patience as we work through these new event procedures.
Where do I have to go to get my temperature taken?
Participants will have their temperatures taken at the competition building entry checkpoint.
Any participant that has a temperature of 100 degrees or greater will not be able to enter the building and requested that the individual see a doctor, per CDC guidelines. (If it is a student participant, they will move to a quarantine room until a parent or guardian can pick them up)
Yes. We are following CDC guidelines as well as local health protocols, and face coverings are required to participate in this event. Please see details below on what is considered an appropriate face covering for your visit. If you do not have a face covering, we have them available for purchase. Also, children under the age of three are not required to wear face coverings.

A surgical mask-type face covering will be available for purchase.
Participants must wear face coverings at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking, and they must also be socially distanced from other travel parties while consuming their food or beverage.
Visitors should be aware of and comply with government guidelines regarding travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines before visiting our campus.
