Welcome to Upper Perk Robotics! This event is capped at 26 teams.
All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.
UPR welcomes all elementary and middle school VEX IQ teams to attend this event. Engineering Notebook are to be submitted when you check-in. Virtual notebooks will not be accepted.
Schedule/Agenda
7:45 doors open / concessions are open: breakfast burritos, hot dogs, hamburgers, walking tacos, snacks, chips, candy, drinks for sale!
8:00 inspection – inspection will be in two stations: Station 1) Sizing – be sure to get a skills trials sheet from the inspector; Station 2 - final inspection. You will receive a skills trials sheet at inspection.
8:10 4 skills fields will open up – be sure to take the skills trials sheet to the table each time you run a skill – the score referee will note that you ran a trial. You will be able to run 3 driver skills and 3 autonomous trials. The trial sheet will help you keep track.
9:00 skills closes
9:10 Event Meeting and production/distribution of the qualification match roster
9:30 – 11:30 running qualifying matches on 3 fields and skills on one field 11:30-12:00 Hard break for lunch
12:00-1:00 skills trials will run on 4 fields
1:00-2:30 remainder of the qualifying matches will run
2:30 finals – top 16 teams
3:00 Awards / clean up

Should this event be cancelled for inclement weather you will be notified by email. Every effort will be made to reschedule.
If you find that you need to cancel your registration for this event, a refund will be issued up until and including January 5, less the $5 Robot Events fee. Email Beth Roth at baroth11@gmail.com to give formal notice.
Case-by-case Refunds: Any refunds due to extenuating circumstances will be handled on a case by case basis and made in the sole discretion of the Event Partner.
It is expected that teams utilize the RobotEvents system to handle event payments prior to attending the event.
Refunds will not be issued if cancellation occurs after January 5th, 2021
In all cases, each registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable.
