This season the STEM Research Project is presented as a 4-minute video plus 15 seconds of credits that the team records and uploads to SchoolTube, YouTube, or a similar online video platform. A link to the video must be submitted to the Event Partner no later than ONE WEEK BEFORE the tournament date. Follow these steps:

If necessary, attendees will be notified of changes via email. Event will be cancelled/rescheduled in the event of a State of Emergency.

All participating teams/organizations are expected to provide 1 volunteer who can commit to one of the following roles:
Judge - 8 needed (all day position, must be over 18, can be suitable for someone with mobility issues)
Referee - 8 needed (all day position, must be at least 16 and understand rules of the Next Level challenge)
Field Reset - 3 needed (can be half or full day, perfect for younger siblings - involves frequent squatting)
7:30 AM – Doors open (Gym 1)
8:00 AM – Judging Begins
9:00 AM – Qualification Matches Begin (Gym 1)
11:00 AM – Lunch Break
12:00 PM –Qualification Matches Resume (Gym 1)
3:30 PM – Final Round (Gym 1)
4:00 PM – Closing and Awards (Gym 1)
Skills Challenge fields will be open during qualification matches, breaking for lunch and closing for the day before the final round.

The 2019 VEX IQ Challenge - Next Level championship event for West Virginia will be hosted by Fairmont State University.
Teams must advance from either league play or an offical WV qualifying tournament in order to compete at the state championship.
