General Info

Welcome to the first Baltimore International Academy VIQC Open Tournament!  This event is hosted by BIA-East in Baltimore City.

This event is open to elementary and middle schools and is a qualifier to the Maryland State VIQC Championships. The event takes place in the BIA gym. Parking is available at the BIA parking lot.  Enter the building through the entrance closest to the parking lot and follow signage to the gym. Teams are advised to stay in the same floor and wing of the building for the duration of the tournament.

During the tournament, teams will have a minimum six qualification matches. Teams will also get a maximum of three opportunities each to participate in the Driving Skills and Programming Skills Challenges.

In the Pit area there will be a minimum of two practice fields.  It is expected that teams practice good sportsmanship in sharing the fields and making sure scoring elements are replaced when a team finishes a practice round.
