This season the STEM Research Project is presented as a 4-minute video plus 15 seconds of credits that the team records and uploads to SchoolTube, YouTube, or a similar online video platform. A link to the video must be submitted to the Event Partner no later than ONE WEEK BEFORE the tournament date. Follow these steps:
Derek Witte <derek_witte@yahoo.com>
Teams must pay the registration fees by November 11. Teams not paid by that date will be dropped in favor of teams on the waiting list. Teams that advise the event partner by November 22 that they are withdrawing from the tournament will receive a refund of their registration fee, less the $5 fee charged by VEX.
If we are unable to hold the event due to an emergency then the event partner will refund the registration fees.
The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
Los Altos Robotics is a small community organization dedicated to introducing children to robotics. We are not affiliated with a school or any other organization and consequently we REQUIRE each team to provide volunteers and/or competition fields as a condition of participating in the tournament. If your team is not able to provide volunteers then please do not register for this tournament. We will ask you for a preferred time slot for your volunteer role and we will try to accommodate you as best we can with a volunteer assignment. However, the jobs will be assigned on a first to volunteer basis so it is possible you may be assigned another time slot if you are one of the later teams to provide a volunteer. Here is a list of some of the volunteer roles: https://www.roboticseducation.org/volunteer-resources/
