General Info

To be eligible to compete at this event all teams must meet the following criteria:

1. Be affiliated and pay membership dues with Texas TSA by February 1, 2019.

2. Be registered with Robot Events by March 1, 2019.

3. Qualify to advance to the Texas TSA State Conference thru a regional TSA competition. 

4. Register to attend the Texas TSA state conference by March 20, 2019 at www.texastsa.org.

5. Comply with the Texas TSA Hotel Room Block Policy. 

6. No walk-in registrations will be accepted 

7. TSA Required Competition Attire will be enforced throughout the event. (https://tsaweb.org/resources/student-members/dress-code)

 

This event is open to current Texas TSA affiliated chapters and members only.  Two teams per chapter may compete.  Regional participation is limited to 10 teams from a region. 

This is a SKILLS event only. No engineering notebooks or judged awards.

The top 3 teams will qualify for TSA Nationals.

Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist can be found here.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RobotEvents.com
4. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

5. Be sure to read 101 Things You Should Know Before Your First VEX Tournament.
