Full refunds less the $5 RECF fee will be given to cancellations prior to 2/11/2017

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the weather is bad enough for local news stations to recommend staying off the roads, the event will be cancelled. Assuming we have power and internet, we will post the cancellation on www.action-works.org

Volunteer

Please sign up at www.action-works.org/volunteer. Full day volunteers are fed lunch and get a lovely Action Works t-shirt!

$20 of the event registration will be refunded the day of the event for teams whose volunteer signs up at
www.action-works.org/volunteer by February 12, 2018 and volunteers the full day of the event. This
must be a full day volunteer and cannot be the team coach. Limit 1 rebate per team. Deadline February 12th midnight!

General Info

The Colorado VEX IQ State Championship has been granted a total of 14 of the following VEX IQ World Championship spots:

 

Middle School Division

Middle School Excellence Award = 1 spot

 

Elementary Division

Elementary Excellence Award = 1 spot

Design Award = 1 spot

STEM Research Project = 1 spot

Judges Award = 1 spot

Amaze Award = 1 spot

Think Award = 1 spot

 

Blended Division Spots

Robot Skills Champion = 1 spot

Teamwork Champions = 2 spots

Teamwork 2nd Place = 2 spots

Teamwork 3rd Place = 2 spots

 

 

Additional information: 

If a team double-qualifies for a World Championship spot, the state’s next highest ranking team from the World Skills Standings up to and including the State Championship receives the invitation. World Championship invitations from the World Skills Standings are issued by email after the results of the State Championship have been posted at robotevents.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.

World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.

 

Teams that have won qualifying awards at 2017-2018 events will compete for an invitation to compete at Worlds.
