General Info

The National Center for Autonomous Technology, NCAT, creates a public understanding of Autonomous Technology (AT) and supports the development of educational programs and a highly skilled technical workforce with a focus on Professional Development, STEM Engagement, Service Learning, and a hub for educational and research resources.  NCAT is proud to launch the first Aerial Drone Competition in Minnesota. This competition will be hosted at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St Cloud in parallel with the VEX Robotics Minnesota State Championship.

Please note that for safety purposes, drones are only allowed to fly in the RAD competition field behind safety netting, while under the supervision of the NCAT team.  Any team in violation of this rule will have their drones confiscated and immediately be disqualified from the event.  Team are not permitted to fly non-competition drones anywhere on the River’s Edge Convention Center building grounds.
