Kiwibots present the 2024/25 New Zealand VEX Robotics Competition VEX U National Championships!
We are so excited to bring you the 2024/25 "HIGH STAKES" VEX U Nationals, where teams from all over Aotearoa will compete to gain the coveted title of National Champions and to qualify for invitations on the global stage at the World Championships in Dallas, Texas in May 2025.
This event will be held at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch/Ōtautahi.
In the Robert Scott Atrium: first floor of the Mechanical Engineering Department,
Registration Fee
The registration fee for this event is $200 NZD per team. Please do not pay through RobotEvents as teams will be invoiced through KIWIBOTS directly. Teams need to register AND PAY before the 6th December 2024.
Check-in
The check-in for the event will be on the morning of the event: Saturday 18th January, 2025. Teams must present at least one team member with the robot to check-in and complete inspection in order to be able to compete at the event.
Design Notebooks
Design notebooks will only be required for teams travelling to the World Championships. We will NOT be having team judging interviews at this event.
Other Information
The top team on the day from the Tournament will qualify for the World Championships, in Dallas Texas, USA during May 2025.
Grade Level: University
Skills Challenge Offered: Yes. This can also enable you to qualify for World Champs, through RECF World Skills Ranking.
Judging Format: No judging interviews.

Kiwibots will provide volunteers for this event.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
There is no bad weather contingency as this event is indoors.
In case of any unforeseen weather disasters we will email/contact teams directly.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Full refund will be given to teams.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refund will be given.

NZRCT Kiwibots will follow the guidelines of the location.
