Welcome to the NUKEtown 2025 VEX University Robotics Competition Qualifier at Northern Kentucky University!
Hello Teams,
Thank you for signing up for our event. Please complete your payment before the event date.
Participant Release Form:
Participant Releases are Electronic again and need to be submitted by January 17th. The link is the Document Tab
Notebooks:
If your team is submitting a notebook please have a digital version submitted by January 17th.
Inspections:
Teams, Please help speed up our inspection time in the morning of by checking your robots prior to the day of the event and update the Firmware to the brain. Also, make sure robots will only have one visible color for the license plate showing at a time. If anything is in question of legality please be able to prove that it is.
Team Meeting:
Our Head Referee and scorekeepers will be members of the NUKE VEXU Robotics team. Rest assured that they are well versed in the rules and highly passionate about the game. We encourage your teams to bring all your questions to the meeting and we will do our best to offer clarity.
Skills Field:
As soon as you have passed inspection your team may enter the skills field line. We will have the GPS CODE wrapped around the perimeter. Skills field will close promptly at the start of Elimination matches. Those running skills will be brought over the elimination matches to help referee.
Qualification Matches:
Our Goal is start matches at 9:00 AM. Each team will have at least 6 qualification matches.
Lunch:
We currently have a Lunch break scheduled for our awesome volunteers at 12-1pm, this is subject to change
Awards:
We will be awarding 5 Judged honors ( Excellence, Design, Judges, Amaze, and Innovate) along with Tourney Champs, Tourney Finalists, and Skills Champion after the Finals.

Experience Level: No Previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions.
Time Commitment: You can register for an entire day, or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits for most positions.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event will not be rescheduled if cancelled due to bad weather. Teams will be contacted if issues arise.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
- All but 5.00 dollars will be returned to teams
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- Refunds will not be given to teams cancelling less than two weeks before the competition. Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event who cancel in due time. If teams registered and paid through robotevents we must receive the funds from robotevents first, this some times takes 3-6 months. Refund from robotevents will deduct 10%.

Traveling from Louisville/Lexington:
Take I-71 North for Louisville or take I-75 North for Lexington
Merge I-71/75 North
Take Exit 185 onto I-275 East
Follow directions for traveling East on I-275
Traveling East on I-275 from Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport:
Take Exit 76 (Three Mile Road/Northern Kentucky University)
Turn right off of the exit on University Drive
Turn right at the the first stop light onto Kenton Drive.
Continue straight through campus.
Turn right into the Kenton Drive Parking Garage (Located directly across from the Student Union).
Traveling West on I-275:
Take Exit 74A (US Highway 27 - Alexandria)
Continue straight on US 27 South
Continue straight through the first light and turn right at the next traffic light onto Nunn Drive.
Enter the roundabout and veer right onto University Drive (First right turn off of the roundabout).
Turn left at the the first stop light onto Kenton Drive.
Continue straight through campus.
Turn right into the Kenton Drive Parking Garage (Located directly across from the Student Union).
For Unloading and Student drop off:
Drive pass the first entrance for the parking garage when following above steps.
Once you pass under the pedestrian bridge from the parking garage take the first left.
This is a loop right outside the venue for unloading.

Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
