The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00 AM doors open/ teams check in/ fields open for practice.
8:30 inspections & judging will start
9:30 drivers meeting
9:45 - 12:00 qualifying matches will start
12:00 - 1:00 lunch break
1:00 - 2:15 qualifying matches will continue
2:30 - 3:30 elimination matches
3:45 - 4:00 awards ceremony
Volunteer
As always, if anyone is interested in volunteering, we can always use volunteers at the event!
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of impending bad weather, Vaughn college Robotics club will collaborate with the college and other Event partners to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. If the event cannot continue on its original schedule, every effort will be made to either keep the event on the same day with an adjusted schedule or reschedule the event to a different date and/or location. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com as well as on our Instagram page VCAT Robotics.
Refund and Payment Policies
Due to the nature of costs associated with hosting events, Vaughn college Robotics club is unable to offer refunds to teams that cancel their registration. However, please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can better plan for the event.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
