General Info
18x18az, in partnership with ASU, are proud to present the 2024 VEX U Tussle For The Southwest! Please read below and on the accompanying tabs for information about the event.
Venue:
The event will take place at the ASU Polytechnic Campus in the Sun Devil Fitness Complex. Parking will be free for the event on Saturday for both competitors and spectators. Please see the "Travel Info" tab for a venue map.
Food Options:
There are a variety of food options within a 5 minute drive away from campus. Alternatively, you can eat on campus in the Citrus Dining Hall or the Student Union.
Competition Fields Information:
The competition fields and robot skills challenge fields will use the metal competition field perimeter with the GPS Field Code V2 strips installed. The practice fields will also use the metal competition field perimeter with at least one field using the GPS Field Code V2 strips.

• 10:15am: Qualification matches begin, Robot Skills resume
• 12:00pm: Lunch, Qualification matches and Robot Skills pause
• 12:30pm: Robot Skills resume

• 3:45pm: Elimination Tournament and Awards Ceremony

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
As we are in Arizona, it is extremely unlikely the event will be cancelled due to weather. If an emergency occurs, we will notify everyone registered the tournament is cancelled.

No refunds will be given.

Parking Information:
Please park at Lot 10, next to the Student Union. If that lot is full, please park in Lot 16, across from the SIM building. Details can be seen on the map above. Parking is free on Saturday. However, parking is $2 an hour before 5pm on Friday.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to upon check-in.
