General Info

Welcome to the 7th annual WV VEX U Qualifier - one of the largest VEX U events in the world!

Hosted by Fairmont State University's Falcon Center, this event occurs on the Friday afternoon/evening before the WV VRC State Championships.

We are a short drive away from many sit-down and fast food restaurants, but outside food cannot be brought into the venue. There will be a dinner break from 5PM to 6PM.

Judging Information

Digital Notebook Submissions
Engineering notebooks will be reviewed digitally in the days before the event. Digital notebooks (or scanned copies of physical noteboooks) must be submitted through RobotEvents. For detailed instructions regarding digital notebook submissions, see this page. Digital notebooks submitted via any other means (e.g. email) will not be accepted. Printed copies of notebooks on the day of the event will not be accepted.

The deadline to submit notebooks for review is Sunday, March 5, 2023.

 

In-Person Team Interviews
Team interviews will be conducted in-person during the event.

1:00 PM: Drivers’ meeting

1:30 PM: Qualification matches begin

5:00 PM: Dinner break

6:00 PM: Qualification matches resume

7:00 PM: Elimination matches

8:00 PM: Awards

 

Skills Challenge fields will be open during qualification matches, breaking for dinner and closing for the day before elimination matches.

Travel Info

The "campus map and parking directions" under the "documents" tab includes directions to Fairmont State University, as well as showing the location of the parking garage and the Falcon Center on campus. All vehicles should park in the garage.
