General Info
Welcome to the 6th annual WV VEX U Qualifier - one of the largest VEX U events in the world!
Hosted by Fairmont State University's Falcon Center, this event occurs on the Friday afternoon/evening before the WV VRC State Championships.
We are a short drive away from many sit-down and fast food restaurants, but outside food cannot be brought into the venue. There will be a dinner break from 5PM to 6PM. Unfortunately, Fairmont State's dining hall will be closed.
Health & Safety Policies
In order to ensure the safest possible event for all participants, we will be enforcing the following health and safety policies:
-
All participants must wear a mask over the nose and mouth at all times during the event. Additional masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
-
All attendees must complete a brief health screening before entering the venue.
-
The venue layout, including pits and competition areas, will be set up to promote social distancing.
-
Increased ventilation will be provided in the venue whenever possible.
-
Teams are requested to minimize the number of non-essential personnel (spectators, parents, etc.) attending the event in-person. Friends and family who wish to follow the event can do so via our Twitch channel at twitch.tv/wvroboticsalliance.
Mask-wearing will be strictly enforced by our event staff. Anyone who refuses to comply with our health and safety policies will be asked to leave the venue. At our discretion, repeated violations from within the same team may result in the entire team being disqualified from further participation in the event under rule G1.
