General Info

Thank you for your interest in the REC Aerial Drone Tournament hosted by Hudsonville Christian/Unity Christian Robotics!  We look forward to a fun and collaborative event!

Facility - The event will be held at Hudonville,Christian High School, in the West Gym conveniently located approximately 10 minutes from Exit 62 on I-196, just west of Grand Rapids, MI.   Pit tables, seating, and electrical power will be provided for each team attending, along with plenty of spectator seating.  Parking is avaialble in the lot on the corner of Oak and Linclon, with the entry available via the West Gym doors.  Additional parking is available in the main lot on Oak St, and behind the school off of Hillcrest; street parking is also available.

Competition - Teams will participate in qualification matches, skills events, judging in the pits, and elimination matches if qualified.  We will be following the rules in the current game manual.

Judging - We will be collecting Physical Logbooks at the start of this event for in-person judging. We will not be able to print notebooks for teams.

Competition Documents - Be sure to look at the documents located in the Documents tab of the event posting. Included are the inspection forms and judging rubrics.

Food - Teams are welcome to bring their own food and we will have concession snacks and drinks.  Donuts will be available in the morning and we will also take pizza orders for lunch (we will handle the order and delivery on time for lunch).  Form to pre-order pizza will be sent prior to the event.  There are also several fast food restuarants in the area.

Registration - All participating teams must be registered and paid for the 24-25 season with the REC Foundation on the Robot Events website and have an official team number before registering for this event. Tournament fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete. Registration and payments should be made through the Robot Events website, or mail checks directly to Hudsonville Christian (if mailing directly, please let Jennifer know).

Only teams that are checked in on time will be allowed to compete.  If you are running late please contact Jennifer Tackitt at (269) 873-3092 to make appropriate arrangements.
