General Info

Join us at the Aerial Drone Music City Qualifier! 

This will be a fun-filled event with good competition from the Southeast Region.

  • Doors will open for registration at 7:30am on Saturday. 
  • This is a qualifying event for the Ariel Drone Competition Southeast Regional Championship. 
  • Teams are expected to submit a digital Competition Logbook or scanned version of their notebook the Wednesday before the event.
  • Teams may park in the main parking lot in front of the school or side of the building. 
  • All teams should enter at the side entrance.  There will be event flags at this entrance. 
  • Only registered teams and mentors should be in the pit area during the event, while spectators should remain in the gym on the opposite side to watch the competition. 
  • Only team members, official volunteers, and referees should be on the competition floor.
  • Volunteers are the backbone of any event! If you're interested in volunteering, please contact us at [email protected]. Lunch will be provided!
  • Be sure that you are familiar with all Competition Documents, including rubrics and inspection lists. These a can be found under the Document Tab for this event. 

We are excited to host an Aerial Drone Competition to give teams a chance to compete with each other from around the state and region.  If you have any questions prior to the event, please reach out. 

Southeast

  • This event is located in the Southeast Region which includes:  Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. 
  • Teams who are from the Southeast Region and earn a qualifying award at this event will be invited to the Southeast Regional Championship - April 11-12, 2025 in Lexington, South Carolina.
  • The award(s) that qualify for an invitation to the above regional championship will be found on the awards tab by Dec 15.  
  •  Additional invitations may be issued by January 6th based on the number of teams and events in the region.

Please note: If you are a team from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but you are not eligible to earn invitations to regional championships from this event.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of any event!  We have many different needs from simply sitting at a table checking people in to being a referee or a judge.

No prior experience is needed. Certification Courses for Judge Advisors and Head Referees are available at training.recf.org

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or bad weather, MNPS District policy will be followed regarding safety plans and procedures. In the event of severe weather that makes travel an issue, the event may be cancelled or postponed.  Please stay tuned to RobotEvents for updates, Teams will be notified as soon as possible, if the weather causes a cancellation.

Refund, less any fees charged by RECF.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
