General Info
Welcome to the DILLARD PANTHERS KNIGHT FLIGHT Aerial Drone Competition Tournament!
This competition is on December 15, 2024, and is open to High School and Middle School Aerial Drone Competition Teams.
Note: Digital Notebooks
- Teams will upload links to their logbooks documents via RobotEvents.com.
- Once a Digital Competition Logbook link is uploaded via RobotEvents, teams may still update their Competition Logbook on an ongoing basis, even on event day. Competition Logbook content is expected to change over time, which is part of the Process.
WiFi will not be provided by the school.
Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be fast-paced and exciting. All teams should come prepared for the competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared:
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so your team has ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist can be found on the Documents tab.
2. Pack for the event the day before, and remember to bring the following:

Competition Logbook
3. Remember that safety comes first.

NO flying outside of designated areas.

The first violation of this will remove you from judged awards.

The second violation will result in asking the team to leave.

Please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team or others nearby.
4. Each player and coach/mentor must have a completed and signed Participation and Consent Form. These can be completed online or physical copies can be completed and uploaded to the coach's Robot Events account for each team. These need to be completed and/or uploaded before the event. Use this LINK for information on completing the Participant Release Form.
Waiting List
If this event is full, please feel free to add your team to the Waiting List and then contact the Event Partner (Primary Contact on the General Info tab). You must be in the online waiting list through robot events to be added if a spot opens. If you are moved from the Waiting List to the Registered Teams List, please be prepared to pay for the event promptly on your robotevents.com account, or make arrangements with the Event Partner to pay directly at the tournament.
Walk-up Teams & Walk-Up Skills
Walk-up teams WILL NOT be permitted to compete, either in the tournament or to run Skills Only. There are no exceptions. If your team wishes to compete, they must register before the registration deadline.

Please note: This event is located in the Southeast Region which includes:
USA: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee
Only teams that are a part of the Southeast Region are eligible to earn invitations to Regional Championships from this event. If your team is from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but will not be eligible to qualify for a Regional Championship from this event.

Volunteer
Volunteers are always welcome and greatly appreciated! All volunteers are trained at the event, so there is no prior experience required. Some roles are for adults only, but many are open to students. All volunteers will be provided free lunch and drinks.
Students can earn community service hours for volunteering at the event! Students must bring a physical copy of their school's service hour form to the event to be signed by the Event Partner.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of an emergency cancellation or other change in plans, teams will be notified via the team contact information available through RobotEvents. Please check to insure contact emails and phone numbers are correct and up-to-date.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by Dillard High. Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing.
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Teams will receive a refund other than the RECF required $5.00 (if they charge this)
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come.
If a team does not pay November 30th, they will be added to the waitlist.
