General Info

Welcome to the Fayetteville Robotics Inauguaral ADC competition.

 

We are happy to welcome all to our event as we add the ADC competition to our programs.

Competition Preparation

This event is sure to be fast-paced and exciting. All teams should come prepared for the competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared:

1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so your team has ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist and other competition documents can be found on the Documents tab. 

2. Pack for the event the day before, and remember to bring the following:

  • Drone and remote

  • Goggles/Safety Glasses

  • Spare parts & tools

  • Batteries and chargers

  • Programming cable

  • Power strip

  • Laptop computer

  • Competition Logbook

3. Remember that safety comes first.

  • NO flying outside of designated areas.

    • The first violation of this will remove you from judged awards.

    • The second violation will result in asking the team to leave.

  • Please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team or others nearby.

4. Each player and coach/mentor must have a completed and signed Participation and Consent Form. These can be completed online or physical copies can be completed and uploaded to the coach's Robot Events account for each team.  These need to be completed and/or uploaded before the event.The Participant Release Forms are available under the Documents tab for this event.

Be sure to look at the documents located in the Documents tab of the event posting. Included are the inspection forms and judging rubrics. 

 

Waiting List

If this event is full, please feel free to add your team to the Waiting List and then contact the Event Partner (Primary Contact on the General Info tab). You must be in the online waiting list through robot events to be added if a spot opens. If you are moved from the Waiting List to the Registered Teams List, please be prepared to pay for the event promptly on your robotevents.com account, or make arrangements with the Event Partner to pay directly at the tournament.

Walk-up Teams & Walk-Up Skills

Walk-up teams WILL NOT be permitted to compete, either in the tournament or to run Skills Only. There are no exceptions. If your team wishes to compete, they must register before the registration deadline.

Southeast 

This event is located in the Southeast Region which includes:

USA: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee

Please note: Only teams that are a part of the Southeast Region are eligible to earn invitations to Regional Championships from this event. If your team is from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but will not be eligible to qualify for a Regional Championship from this event.

12:00 PM - Lunch Break will be 1 Hour. There are fast food places across the street.

1:00 PM - Teamwork Matches, Autonomous Flight Mission and Judging Resume

3:30 PM - Teamwork Matches, Autonomous Flight Mission and Judging End

3:45 PM - Alliance Selections

4:00 PM - Finals and Awards

5:00 PM - Event Ends

Volunteer opportunities will be posted  at a later date.

We will have many different needs from simply sitting at a table checking people in to being a ref or a judge.

No prior experience is needed. Certification Courses for Judge Advisors and Head Referees are available at training.recf.org

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We do not anticipate any weather issues as this is an indoor event held.

In the event of an emergency or weather issue, teams will be notified by email of any changes.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

If the venue cancels for unexpected circumstances, refunds are available minus the $5 REC Foundation fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

Fees are forfietted if you cancel after the pay date.  (Emergencies are on a case by case basis.)
