General Info

Wasco Union Elementary School District is excited to host our first official Wasco Aerial Drone Competition for the 2024-25 season.  

This event is located in the West Region which includes:

USA: Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming

Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories

Please note: Only teams that are a part of the West Region are eligible to earn invitations to Regional Championships from this event. If your team is from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but will not be eligible to qualify for a Regional Championship from this event.

The event is in the gym of Palm Avenue Middle School at 1017 Palm Avenue Wasco, CA 93280.   

This event will be limited to three teams per organization. If you have more than three teams that would like to attend, please add those additonal teams to the waitlist. After the registration deadline or once the event is full, if we are able to add additonal teams, they will be added from the waitlist with precedence first given to schools/organizations that do not have teams registered. 

Doors open at 8 a.m. 

Coaches, please advise your teams to check in immediately upon arrival and use their assigned pit area to set up for the day. 

  • Please bring all of your own power strips/extension cords, tools, parts, etc.
  • We need and welcome volunteers. 
  • Teams should bring a physical copy of their Competition Logbook to submit to the judges at the event.
  • Teams must wear safety glasses during competition events.
  • Please bring cash for the concession stand and food trucks. We will have meals, snacks, and drink options to meet the needs of everyone.
  • Be sure to review all the documents found under the Documents Tab. 
  • All participants must complete the Particpant Release form before the tournament:
    •  Participant Release Form
    • All participants must have a Participant Release Form on file. It is the responsibility of the Team’s Primary Contact to make sure this occurs.

Payment must be made before 2/08/2025 or teams will be moved to the waitlist.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Tournament will cancel only due to a natural disaster. 

The Event Partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date in their RobotEvents.com account, and includes email and both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: The Event Partner will refund the fee minus $5. 

If a team registers for the tournament and chooses not to attend: 

  • The Event Partner will issue 50% refund if notified before February 14th. 
  • No refunds will be available after February 15th.
