General Info

North Central Region

  • This event is located in the North Central Region which includes:  Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. 

  • Teams who are from the North Central Region and earn a qualifying award at this event will be invited to the North Central Regional Championship - in Flint Michigan at Kettering University on May 17-19,  2024.

  • The award(s) that qualify for an invitation to the above regional will be found on the awards tab by December 1, 2024.

  • Additional invitations may be issued by January 12th based on the number of teams and events in the region.

Please note: If you are a team from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but you are not eligible to earn invitations to regional championships from this event.

 

Welcome to West Michigan Early Winter Aerial Drone League.  We will have four regular league sessions for Mission 2024: ECLIPSE on Feb 21, Feb 28, Mar 6, and Mar 12. The final league session will be on Mar 13. All League nights will be held in the main arena at the Grandville Robotics Competition Center.

Drone crews have the ability to earn qualifying awards to compete at their Regional Championship.  

Reminders:

  • There will be 4 Regular League Sessions and 1 Final League Session which will include judging.
  • Teams will turn in physical competition logbooks on the night of the last ranking session. 
  • Safety glasses will be required at all sessions.
  • All teams must be registered and marked paid by the event registration deadline.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event partner will make a decision if and event date will be postponed due to weather by 2pm on the date of each event.  Teams will be notified by email of any changes due to emergency or bad weather. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: If the event partner cancels the overall League, teams will be given a refund.  No refund will be given if the event partner postpones individual event nights.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refund will be given for event nights that a coach/mentor opts not to have their team participate.
