General Info

Northeast Update 11.3.2023

  • This event is located in the Northeast Region which includes:  Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
  • Teams who are from the Northeast Region and earn a qualifying award at this event will be invited to the Northeast Regional Championship - at Fairmont State University on May 17th - 18th, 2024.
  • The award(s) that qualify for an invitation to the above regional championship will be found on the awards tab by December 1, 2024.   Additional invitations may be issued by January 12th based on the number of teams and events in the region.

Please note: If you are a team from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but you are not eligible to earn invitations to regional championships from this event.

 

 

We are excited to host an Aerial Drone Competition in October! All teams are welcome - no experience required!

Participation fee: $100 per team (and concessions/lunch are available for a small fee), Please bring a reusable water bottle.

Lunch orders are due by Friday, 10/6 (2 slices of pizza and a bottle of water = $10)

Be sure to bring your drones, batteries, safety googles, etc. and get ready to have fun!!! To prepare for the event, be sure to read the game manual and review the inspection form, the competition logbook and interview judging rubrics.

Updated 10.11.2023 Physical copy of Competition logbook needs to be turned in at check in on the day of the event if you want the Logbook to be considered for Judging.

We are looking for referees, judges, and greeters.  Training will be provided through Webinars a month before the competition for Referees and Judges. Please contact Stephanie Shrake at [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

The event will be rescheduled.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds except for extreme circumstances.

Health and Safety Policies

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary. 

Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, safety precautions may be updated as the event date approaches.
