General Info

Northeast Update 11.3.2023

  • This event is located in the Northeast Region which includes:  Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.

  • Teams who are from the Northeast Region and earn a qualifying award at this event will be invited to the Northeast Regional Championship - at Fairmont State University on May 17th - 18th, 2024.

  • The award(s) that qualify for an invitation to the above regional championship will be found on the awards tab by December 1, 2024.  

  •  Additional invitations may be issued by January 12th based on the number of teams and events in the region.

Please note: If you are a team from outside this region, you may attend the event and will be eligible to earn awards and post scores to the global skills rankings, but you are not eligible to earn invitations to regional championships from this event.

 

This event is open to all middle and high school Aerial Drone teams in New England and New York.  We will feature skills challenges as well as tournament play.  Riverside Middle School is located in Springfield, Vermont.  Springfield is about 40 minutes north of the Mass. border, right on the Connecticut River.  It's easily accessible from Interstate 91 and about 2 hours from Boston, MA and Albany, NY.

Please reach out to Christopher Gray at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer for this event.  We are in need of field judges, score-keepers and announcers. Goal is for Judges and Referees to be training through online webinars at least one month before the event.

The snow date for this event is Sunday, January 28th, 2024.  Any weather-related delays and cancellations will be announced by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26th.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A refund will be given minus any fees charged by the REC Foundation.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be provided.
