Digital Notebook access on the day of the event

Section 5 of the current Guide to Judging reads "If Engineering Notebooks are being submitted‬‭ digitally and evaluated ahead of the event, Judges‬‭ MUST‬‭ have access to those notebooks at the event itself."

It is not uncommon for judges to be working in a room with limited, slow, or non-existent internet access. Is it acceptable for the Judge Advisor to download notebooks onto a JA controlled device for viewing inside the judges' room? Judges would then be able to view the notebooks regardless of connectivity, and the Judge Advisor could dispose of all files at the end of the event as they do with other judging materials.

Offline viewing may not be possible for all notebooks.

If the decision is made by the EP to require digital submissions of notebooks, there should be adequate measures taken to ensure that the Judging room will have sufficient internet access for a sufficient number of devices to view notebooks for the event.
