General Info
This VEX IQ Coach Training Workshop is for recipients of a 2021-2022 Kids in STEM VEX IQ Grant. If you are not a recipient of this grant, but are looking for coach training opportunities, please contact your Team Engagement Manager. Ineligible registrants will be moved out of the event.
Meet VEX IQ.
VEX IQ is based on plastic, snap-together pieces specifically designed to build highly functional robots. This system doesn’t require any prior knowledge in robotics. Students can easily build their first robot, and the wide variety of additional parts means that they can build anything they imagine as they continue to learn. Every kit includes a hand tool to make assembly and disassembly easy for small hands.
This hands-on workshop will introduce educators to the vast resources and opportunities available to create a sustainable and successful competitive robotics program.
Participants will need a computer and/or tablet to "play along" with the coding activities and explore the many online resources.

Congratulations on receiving the Kids In STEM - VEX IQ Robotics Grant.
We know you are so excited to start using your VEX GIQKits with your students. We want to ensure that you are comfortable with using the IQ equipment, performing some basic troubleshooting, and are aware of the many resources that are available for you at education.vex.com.
During this training, you will be using the IQ Kits that you have received from the grant to complete a series of activities, providing a fun and interactive introduction to VEX IQ Competition.
You will need your own device; a laptop, chromebook,and/or tablet. (A phone will work for some things, but not all.)
A more detailed agenda will be sent out no less than two weeks prior to the workshop.
