General Info

Come and have some fun in historic Vale Oregon.  We will be have our famous taco lunch for all teams.

We will host some of the best compeition from around the states of Oregon and Idaho.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

ALL TEAMS must check in with the event partner / scoring table by-9:30AM so that we can accurately print the tournament match schedule.  Please plan on arriving early to get through the inspection process and be prepared to begin on-time.  Coaches-- If you are delayed arriving the morning of the tournament, please call and let us know.  

7:30am - Building open

8am - Inspection open

9:30am - Team Meeting

10:00 am - Qualifiers

12:00pm - Lunch

12:30pm - Qualifiers

2:15 - Alliance selection/ skills field closes

2:45 - Elimination Rounds

4pm - Divisional Finals

4:30 - Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather cancelations will be announced prior to the event. Registrations will be refunded within reason and with individual approval.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be issued minus applicable fees.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be issued minus applicable fees.  After Feb 1, no refunds.

Remember that Vale is in the Mountian time zone if you are making travel plans from Western Oregon or Washington.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
