Faith Academy and Barton Academy invites you to participate in the 2023-2024 VRC tournament: Bots by the Bay! We look forward to having your teams compete.
This event is blended. Both high school and middle school VRC teams are welcome!
Concessions will be available.

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.
For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.
Agenda
8:00 am: Pit opens
8:15 am: Check-in, inspection, and skills open. Once a team is checked-in, they may start their skills. Get them in early!
8:45 am: Drivers meeting
9:00 am: Qualification Matches begin (Skills continue. Keep track of your qualification match schedule, too.)
12:00 pm: Lunch (Students should not leave the tournament.)
1:00 pm: Qualification and Skills Matches resume
2:30 pm: Skills Line Closes
2:45 pm: Qualification Matches end
-Alliance Selection- Immediately after the last match concludes
3:15 pm: Elimination Matches begin
5:30 pm: Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
All teams will be contacted the day before the event if the event needs to be adjusted due to bad weather.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:

Refunds will be given, minus the $5 processing fee from the REC Foundation.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- No refund will be given
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. All digital notebook submissions must be uploaded to RobotEvents by Wednesday, January 10th 4:00PM CST.
