General Info
Welcome to the La Reina High School and Middle School VEX Over Under Tournament. We are delighted to host the VEX 2023-2024 Over Under Tournament. The event will be open to 36 teams from both Middle and High schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend a California Region 4 State Championship.
There will be two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field, and a full practice field at the event. Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.
This event will be limited to four teams per school. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Event Partner, Yuling Hsu, at [email protected].
On-site parking is free. There are numerous dining options in the area for lunch and snacks. In addition, we will be selling concessions and have multiple vending machines on campus.
Check-in: Registration starts at 7:30 am. Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Team Payment: Team payments must be received by Jan. 31, 2024. Teams who have not paid by this date may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow other teams from the waitlist to participate.
Swapping or Changing Teams: Please make sure you have registered the correct team for this event. Teams will only be allowed to swap until 2 weeks before the event, after this no swapping is allowed.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the case of bad weather conditions, COVID restriction changes, or possible cancellations (e.g. if fewer than 20 teams register), please visit the event on Robotevents.com, where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Please make sure your team contact information is up to date in RobotEvents.com in the event we need to contact your team.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Teams must request a refund by emailing Yuling Hsu ([email protected]) and provide payment information including Payee, mailing address, number of teams being refunded, and primary financial contact email and phone number. Refunds may take up to 45 days to process. Transaction fees deducted by Robot Events are not refundable.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be received by Jan. 31, 2024. Teams who have not paid by this date will be removed from the event, to allow space for teams on the wait list. Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event venue, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding. It is essential that all teams check in by 8:15 am. Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
