General Info

White Knoll is back for our 2nd tournament. We are opening up slots for a total of 48 middle school and high school teams. If enough middle schools register, we will run a separate competition for their level.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will always follow the advice of the state's emergency management service.  In the event of a weather event, the tournament will be canceled.  In the event the tournament is canceled, refunds will be given. Cancellation will be communicated no later than 24 hours before doors open.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be given if we cancel the event. The refund amount will be $70.  Finally, refunds will not be issued until after the event and all payments have been received from RobotEvents.com.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

All payments must be received by January 15, 2024. If payment is not received by that time, your team will be moved to the waiting list.

No refunds will be given to teams that do not show up.

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
