There will be a full concessions area available with coffee, doughnuts, muffins, juice, milk, soda, candy bars,and snacks. Also a Subway sub sandwich meal deal and a Dominos Pizza meal deal available for lunch.

 

Competition Preparation This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist can be found here: V5 Robot Inspection Checklist

2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.

3. Pack for the event the day before the day of departure.
Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.
Goggles/Safety Glasses
Spare parts & tools
Batteries and chargers
Programming cable
Power strip
Laptop computer
Engineering notebook (if you have one, helpful for Judges, Design and Excellence Awards )
Banners and other decorations for your team pit
Giveaways if you have them

4. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby as the venue is a very tight fit. Also, remember no grinding or other actions that create sparks.

6. Ensure that you have the latest version of programming software and firmware for your V5 Brain.


7. Participation and Consent form: 

A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to robotevents.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament. In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates will be posted about the event status as needed.

Match Lists will be generated as scheduled and cannot be re-run

Refund and Payment Policies

Refund Policy
Teams that need to withdraw from the event need to do so prior to 1/05/2024 and produce an invoice showing payment . They will be refunded in full at our earliest convenience.  Teams that withdraw after 1/05/2024 will not receive a refund unless as determined by the Event Partner that there are extenuating circumstances.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
